Summer day camp for children of all experience levels, ages 7-10.
Experience is welcome but not required for these 2-week sessions, where campers ages 7 – 10 study Shakespeare’s theatre in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Professional theatre practitioners lead interactive classes in Shakespeare’s poetry, clowning traditions, and stage combat, following a curriculum created specifically for this age group. The camp culminates in an abridged Shakespeare play for family and friends on the final day.
Camp sessions are weekdays from 9am to 3pm, and a typical camp day begins with a half hour of warmups followed by breaking up into smaller groups to rotate between three one-hour classes with a half-hour lunch break. The afternoon concludes with a two-hour rehearsal for the final performance. Pre-care is available beginning at 8:30am and aftercare is available until 5:30pm, and both are included in the price of enrollment, as are all scripts, costumes, and supplies.
Additional 2023 locations and dates are still being added. Sign Up to be notified of new sessions.
