shakespeare 4 all

On December 8, 2012, a group of community members from Salida, California, and the surrounding towns (many of whom had never acted before) were joined by members of the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival to put on a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This was the start of Shakespeare For All Central California. A decade later, S4A returned to perform that first play S4A ever did together – A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

“Our core belief is that Shakespeare can be enjoyed by *everyone* and performed by *anyone.* We would not be here (literally!) without SF Shakes. Not only in your generous support in time, kindness, know-how, enthusiasm, and in a hundred other ways, but in someone having the idea to bring a community theater program to the Valley and giving us our start.
