annual gala and auction

Once a year we gather to celebrate the collective history and recent achievements of San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, while looking ahead to the future and helping to ensure continued support for our arts and education programs.  Highlights include wine tasting and cocktails, 3-course dinner, performances by SF Shakes artists and students, and an auction featuring gifts, get-aways, entertainment, and dining packages.

During the pandemic our Gala shifted online and for the first time hosted guests from around the world to participate in our virtual happy hours, games, online auction, and virtual theater programming.

Proceeds from the event support our mission to make the words and themes of Shakespeare accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status, or level of education. Your contributions ensure the continuation of arts and education programs like Free Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare’s Heartbeat, Shakespeare on Tour, and Bay Area Shakespeare Camps.
