Tips for a Pleasurable Day at Free Shakespeare in the Park

All shows are free to the public. No tickets or reservations are required. All seating is general. Arrive early for choice vantage points.

 
No seating is provided. Blankets and low chairs are welcome. Tall chairs are permitted as inidcated by the sign in the meadow in order to minimize the impact on the view of the stage.


The Shakespeare Festival staff reserves space for wheelchairs at each performance. Please see a staff member or volunteer if you need assistance.


Snacks (chips, cookies, candy) and beverages (cold and hot) are available for sale. Proceeds from concessions go directly to support Free Shakespeare in the Park.


Picnics are welcome. Please deposit your trash in a garbage can or dumpster. If the trash container nearest you is full, do not overfill it; proceed to another trash container or take your trash with you when you leave the park.


The Shakespeare Festival provides portable restrooms at all performances. There are also indoor facilities near many of our performance sites.


Smoking is not permitted in the performance meadows.


Aisles and walkways must be kept clear at all times.


Bicycles must be parked outside the performance meadows. Please do not lock bicycles to gates or entrances.


Recording and photography is strictly prohibited by the Shakespeare Festival and by Actors' Equity Union.


Unauthorized sales, solicitations, and distributions are prohibited.

 
We ask that you please remain seated during the performance.

 
Please look after your personal belongings. The Shakespeare Festival is not responsible for lost or stolen personal articles.
